My Story

Not originally from kingdom of Kerry, it is now were I call home. Nestled between Irelands highest peaks, stunning lakes and National Parks, I fell in love with this bustling town and a handsome native, in the south west corner of Ireland, Killarney. It was here out of my family kitchen Tara’s Baked Bouquets began.

My passion for working with cakes and buttercream first began back in my college days when my pastry lecturer introduced it to me. After qualifying I spent many years working under some amazing pastry chefs in long standing establishments before I found myself take time out to start and raise my own family. Baking and cakes were never far away and being from a large family my skills were always in high demand and I never came to a celebration empty handed.

Throughout the years I have enjoyed trying new trends and products, however none have given me as much pleasure as my first love. So I found myself coming full circle and back were I first started, working with buttercream once again. Returning to where my cake decorating story started all those years ago competing at national level in cake decorating and piping competitions, the very thing that got me hooked all those years ago.

Tara’s Baked Bouquets has been a lifelong dream of Tara Tangney with a growing family, that came to fruition in 2020.

All of Tara’s baked bouquets are made fresh to order with all natural locally sourced high-quality ingredients. There are a variety of classic flavours to choose from including decadent vanilla, zesty lemon and chocolate-fiend – there is a flavour to suit all taste buds. Tara does offer a selection on deluxe as well as premium flavours also. Tara’s cupcakes are a unique gift idea and will certainly turn heads.
